Lawn Fertilization Programs

A healthy lawn requires nutrients that most soils are unable to provide during the entire growing season. This is why fertilization is a key part of the success of your lawn. Fertilization aids in new leaf and root growth and helps repair damage caused by pests and foot traffic. 

Hometown Fertilizer Plus offers a five-step fertilization program which provides the necessary nutrients while controlling weeds, crabgrass, grubs and other lawn issues. Every application also includes a spot spray weed control treatment as needed.

Our Five Step Program

Early Spring Application – Provides root development and increases grass density while controlling crabgrass and weeds

Late Spring Application – This time released formula helps promote an extended lush green color. It also controls broadleaf weeds such as dandelions, buckthorn, carpetweed, ragweed, and more. 

Early Summer Application – Provides protection against grubs which feed on grass roots and causes sections of grass to die. 

Late Summer Application – Improves drought tolerance while providing heat and disease resistance. 

Early Fall Application – Protects and promotes root development for winter.

Optional Lyme Application (additional cost)

Late Fall Application - Lyme helps restore balance to your lawns pH level. A healthy pH promotes better absorption of the nutrients a lawn needs to be at its best. Even though lime includes calcium and magnesium, it's not a substitute for fertilizer.
